School Info
Every child matters, every moment counts. Copplestone is a vibrant and happy and inclusive school where every child’s talent is recognised and valued. In partnership with parents, we set high expectations, encouraging both a sense of individual responsibility and community spirit.
Our six values are woven into all aspects of school life:
Confidence, Creativity, Curiosity, Caring, Community and Challenge
We want our children to be curious and creative learners, to demonstrate positive learning behaviours, and above all, to enjoy school. The pupils that pass through Copplestone will learn how to think for themselves and acquire the academic and personal skills to allow them to fulfil their unique potential.
Our talented and dedicated team provides the children with challenging and memorable learning experiences in an engaging environment, where individual wellbeing is at the heart of all we do. Opportunities for challenge, leadership, and responsibility provide children with a strong sense of independence and maturity as they move through school, and our supportive staff encourage a love of learning. Outdoor learning in our Forest School builds confidence and instils a strong sense of environmental and social awareness, equipping children with the resilience they need for life beyond school. By the time our pupils leave Copplestone they will be fully prepared to move on to the next phase of their education.
We are also committed to the training and development of new teachers. We are proud to be a partner with Exeter University and work alongside them to train and support PGCE trainees.
This website offers a flavour of what we do, but I hope that you will visit and see us in action. We warmly welcome prospective families to visit our school.
