Welcome to Copplestone Primary School
Copplestone is a vibrant and happy school where every child’s talent is recognised and valued. In partnership with parents we set high expectations, encouraging both a sense of individual responsibility and community spirit. We want our children to be curious and creative learners, to demonstrate positive learning behaviours, and above all, to enjoy school. The pupils that pass through Copplestone will learn how to think for themselves, and acquire the academic and personal skills to allow them to fulfil their unique potential.
Our talented and dedicated team provide the children with challenging and memorable learning experiences in an engaging environment, where individual wellbeing is at the heart of all we do. Opportunities for challenge, leadership, and responsibility provide children with a strong sense of independence and maturity as they move through the school, and our supportive staff encourage a love of learning. Outdoor learning in our Forest School builds confidence and instills a strong sense of environmental and social awareness, equipping children with the resilience they need for life beyond school. By the time our pupils leave Copplestone they will be fully prepared to move on to the next phase of their education.
This website offers a flavour of what we do, but I hope that you will visit and see us in action - you can be sure of a warm welcome!

Home Learning
Thanks to colleagues at another school who have compiled a comprehensive list of free online learning activities. Some are for primary aged pupils and some for secondary so may be useful for other children in your family. We thought it was an excellent list to share with you.
Online Resources to Support Home Learning
We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the School Games SILVER Mark Award for the 2018/19 academic year. The School Games Mark is a Government led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success. As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year. We look forward to applying once again in 2020!
